Roland 808 Kick Drum AKA BASS BOOM

So I found this out about a year ago, so far I've found it very effective literally just in changes in a chorus, breakdowns and any key point that you want to stand out. You can use it so it's suttle, you can use it so it'll blow your face off. You need to make sure you get it to fit in the mix right otherwise it sound pretty shit if it cuts through to much.
If you sign up here: http://www.freesound.org there are some brilliant samples well worth taking a look at. Good snares, cymbals etc etc and a tonne of user made samples with it.
With the sample I used, I pitch shifted it down by about 8 cents, used an adaptive limiter / maximizer on it, low cut down to 120hz and boosted the bass.
Main thing is, don't over do it.

Just uploaded 2 different ones. One's a very 'big' one, can often be too much for what you want though, the other I find is perfect.
