I have a question on the Engl E530 regarding the Line Outputs.... I currently use the regular line outs NOT the freq.comp outs. Do you need to use a stereo cable if using the normal outputs to DI??? I dont want to ruin the preamp since the manual says to use a stereo cable if using a cabinet.

well if the manual says stereo i ll go with stereo. and i dont think of any drawback using stereo so.. Wink

Jokull, you only need a stereo cable for hooking up the engl direct to a cab. The stereo cable goes from the headphone output on the front of the unit to the cab input. You don't need a stereo cable for either the regular or frequency line outs, those outputs are not for hooking up to a cab.
