Let me help.
I'll tell you what i mostly do and i am pleasant with the results.
Before adding a reverb try adding delay first. Adjust the ms properly till you cant hear your words twice and your vocals are "fuller".
Secondly, if you wanna add reverb choose plate reverbs or reverb with short decay.
20/100 mix/dry should be the maximum. I usually blend to taste and most of the times 15% is too much so i choose 10% wet or so.
EQ and Compress. Clean the junk frequencies and compress to fit in the song.
Now that you've added the above and edit your vocals to your liking one more extra tip is to create a track and add reverb with 100% mix. Then send some of your instruments ,including vocals, to this track, so you that you can feel that the mix is in a room. Sending more db from vocals to the reverb track pushes them back, less reverb pushes them to the front.
Don't overdo it cause you need the words to be crystal clear.
