| hi guys, currently having the following problem:
i got 2 snare tracks (top, bot) both suffering from severe bleeding, which i want to cut out. but if i want to catch all ghost notes the gate starts to distort.
i was thinking about EQ before gating, but it didnt seem to do the trick.
ideas? | |

| Hmm... I have a couple of ideas. If we talk about MIDI: Write the ghost notes to a different track (Snare Ghost for example ) and edit it in this track seperately. If we talk about real drums - wav files: 1) Duplicate the snare track. 2) Hi and low pass to cut the hats and kick. 3) Boost about 170hz -250hz (sweep) 4) Gate it 5) Blend with the original track More ideas soon. Try these for now | |

yeap in many VSTi applications. you can disable bleeding also, if the software allows it | |

| I know Superior Drummer allows you to disable bleeding. It's some good piece of software | |
