Fatten up your Guitar Sound with Delay

How can I fatten up my guitar sound with delay?

Guitars players love experimenting with sounds and playing with the buttons of their pedal rack. I know we overdo it, it's not our fault it's just so temptable!

The "secret" to fatten up your guitar sound is to use delay like you didn't use it. What do I mean?

* Don't let the listener understand that you've added delay.
* Add as little delay as you can.
* Don't put the "mix" knob at 100%. use less than 20% or whatever suits your sound.
* Adjust how fast the repeated echoes will take place according to your tempo. A little faster or a little slower repeats, according to the tempo, are usually good enough to fatten up the sound without noticing there's delay in it.

The 7ms delay is an age old trick used by many many pros.

seems like it was worth adding.

Anything that is related to music production my friend

I just want the info to be as accurate as it can be and not misleading

All the articles will be uploaded to the site and the best authors will be also uploaded to the "Top Authors" section Smile
