So okay, with Ozone what do you do to master? Like where do you start and stuff? 1st.I give some volume from the loudness maximizer without peaking just to hear better. 2nd. Equalizer. Cut first than boost. 3. Harmonic Exciter Real great stuff! 4. Multiband compression. I tame some of the range frequencies when I find it useful. 5db applied to your song. 5. 3.3% Plate reveb I didnt tweak a lot cause your mix really helped me. If its not broken dont fix it. Maybe thats why when your mastered it ended up band. Maybe you tried to fix something that need not fixing

| But it IS broken because it's not loud enough! I don't know how to get it LOUD! That's my problem. | |

loudness maximizer is the one for this job. pull down its fader and watch your master level increasing.

| I'll have a little go at mastering when I get a chance if you don't mind. My mastering style will be a bit different than senders . I never use a sonic enhancer mainly due to i think it can cause its own problems. Different style i guess If its loud your after, i could probably do that for you. Im a tad heavier on compression that Sender by the sounds of it | |

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10891235/%7EMastered%7E%20-%2001%20-%20Audio%20-%20%7EMastered%7E.mp3 Here is what I did: -PSP Old Timer -G Clip -G Clip(again) -NastyLF -SSLEQ -REQ 4 bands -REQ 4 bands(again) -epicVerb -C1 comp -Voxengo Elephant
At first I used a Doubler by waves to thicken some stuff up a bit but I wasn't too sure about it so I took it off. But tell me what you think. A little bit too heavy on the compression. Certain places you can here the compressor really kick in and drop the tracks volume a tad. It sometimes wobbles (intro being most obvious). Try increasing the attack and release times to give it a smoother sounding compression transient.

| There are 3 main reasons that i didnt over-compress it:
1) Noise. Vocal track added some noise so i was careful with volume and overcompressing.
2) There were some violins there so i didnt want to kill the dynamics. Killing the dynamics of a violin is like killing its life!
3) The whole song doesnt need much volume i think. Its not a rock-metal song that you enjoy listening to it LOUD without caring about the dynamics much. It's an easy going song that you'd like to listen in a more relaxed volume.
The above statements are my opinion and that doesn't mean that yours are incorrect.
